1. What This Policy Covers

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as local storage and pixel tags) HummingSun™ ("we", "us", "our") uses on hummingsun.co.in and the public pages of workspace.hummingsun.co.in, why we use them, and how you can control them. It supplements, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy & Data Protection Notice.

2. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember information about your visit — such as your language preference or whether you've seen a particular banner — and, where analytics or marketing cookies are used, help us understand how the site is used. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage, pixel tags) work in comparable ways and are treated the same under this policy.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

We group cookies into four categories. Only Essential cookies are currently in active use on this site. Functional, Analytics, and Marketing categories are listed below for completeness and will be activated only if and when the relevant feature goes live, with this policy updated accordingly.

Essential / Strictly Necessary

Required for the website to function — for example, remembering your cookie consent choice itself, or maintaining a secure session on workspace.hummingsun.co.in after you sign in. These cannot be switched off, as the site will not work correctly without them.

Functional

Remember choices you make (such as display preferences) to provide a more personalised experience. Not currently in use on the marketing site.

Analytics

Help us understand how visitors use hummingsun.co.in — pages visited, time on page, referring site — so we can improve the site. Used only where a genuine, granular consent choice has been given (see Section 6). No analytics cookies are set before consent.

Marketing / Advertising

Would track visitors across sites to build an advertising profile. Not currently used anywhere on HummingSun™ properties. If this changes, this policy and the consent banner will be updated before any such cookie is set.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies may be set by third-party services we use to run the site and product, rather than by HummingSun™ directly. Currently:

• Vercel — hosting infrastructure for the website and application. May set cookies related to routing and performance; no advertising use.

We do not currently use third-party advertising or social-media tracking pixels.

6. Your Choices — The Consent Banner

A cookie consent banner should be shown on first visit, before any non-essential cookie is set, offering a genuine choice — not just an "Accept" button with no real alternative. At minimum, the banner should let a visitor:

• Accept all cookies.
• Reject all non-essential cookies with equal visual prominence to "Accept" (not hidden behind extra clicks).
• Access a simple, granular breakdown by category before deciding, not just an all-or-nothing toggle.
• Revisit and change their choice at any time via a "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer, once the banner is live.

We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as there is no consistent technical standard for interpreting them; your cookie consent choice via our banner is the operative control.

7. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

Independently of our consent banner, you can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Most browsers let you see what cookies are stored and delete them individually or entirely; you can also usually set your browser to block cookies from being set, though this may affect parts of the site that rely on Essential cookies (for example, staying signed in).

8. Legal Basis

Under GDPR and the UK/EU ePrivacy rules (where applicable to a visitor), we rely on your consent for any non-essential cookie — Essential cookies are permitted without consent because the site cannot function without them. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), cookie-specific rules are still evolving through rulemaking; in the interim we apply the same consent-first standard described in Section 6 as current best practice, and will update this policy as DPDP Act rules on cookies and tracking are finalised.

9. Changes to This Policy

We will update this policy as our use of cookies changes — including if Functional or Marketing cookies are activated — and will note the effective date at the top of the page.
